"I want teachers to get all the support that they need to do their job. I believe we need to keep politics out of the classroom because I have seen what that did, while growing up in the Soviet Union. "
"Being a world-class athlete taught me the skills of keeping commitments to myself and my teammates. This is a commitment I am willing to make and I will not fail, if you trust me enough and graciously give me your vote. One thing we all agree on is to ensure our schools provide an excellent, basic education. And I think we can all find common ground and agreement with that goal. "

Family Life
I immigrated to the US in 1993, and proudly became a US citizen in 2004. I have lived in the United States the majority of my life. This is my home.
I have lived in Chaska for almost 20 years and have been married for 24. I'm a mother of our 12 year old special-needs child who is enrolled in our school district. Our family goes to Grace church, where we are members.
I provide weekly care as a Personal Care Assistant for low-income residents in a local Affordable/Subsidized Senior and Disability housing facility.
Education
Growing up in the Soviet Union, under Socialism, I graduated from the musical school where I went for 7 years to study playing piano, music history, music biography and singing. I also play piano.
I graduated from the Central Academy of Physical Education in Moscow, Russia. I have a degree in Physical Education and Sports Medicine with an advanced degree in Sports Psychology. Of course, I speak Russian, which will be helpful in my work as a School Board Director, given our culturally-diverse student population.
Career Experience
I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years and was also a member of the Russian Nation Sports Aerobic Team for 3 years where I competed in world-class competitions.
I have owned my own Fitness Training business for 15 years and recently joined a Financial Wealth Management practice.
Why I Am Running
It is important to me that all of our kids get an excellent education. That's not happening.
I will work hard to do everything I can to make sure our schools have the resources they need to provide an excellent education for our kids.
